Deco Delight

We sorta just went through the decades haha! SO after Edwardian we did this (on the same day - I have a considerable back log of stuff I want to post!) The picture above features my modern swimming cap I found in a department store and her own adorable bathers. I can't say I've actually worn it swimming much but it's pretty cool to own nevertheless.

Left to right: The yellow dress is mine and original 1920s, though a little worse for wear! The fur cape and hat is the friend who's wearing it. The peach coloured one is mine, it's appeared on here before though :) here and here! The dress I'm wearing is we thought to be 1920s or so but might be for a child? As it is quite short, though you can't see it here. We're not quite sure, but it belongs to the beautiful person next to me and I think they bought it in New York on holidays.

Too cute aren't they? Parasols are sun smart, and sometimes you can find them in second hand shops and markets :)

I'm wearing a 1920s evening dress, it's got beaded daisies so how could I resist this one! Unlike some other things I own, this one is actually in really great condition! The beads are nice and attached as well, there was maybe one I had to sew back on. There is also a small hole that is hidden by a pleat in the skirt but that is all.

  5. Hi sweet Madeline, you look so wonderfully cute and vintage-y! What a blast to see summery sites and fashions in the midst of a snowy Canadian January.

(I replied there, but in case you didn't see, just wanted to mention again here...) Thank you very much for your lovely comment on my wig reveal post. Have you ever considered that you might be allergic to wool? I'm allergic myself to lamb's wool (it gives me hives and if I wear if I have too much repeated expose, contact dermatitis) and always try to avoid wearing it (with the exception of winter coats, for which I create a buffer with a scarf and gloves between the coat and my skin).

Thank you again & have a marvelous weekend,
    ♥ Jessica
